Track Slash Terms of Service

The service is in preview
Track Slash is early software offered free of charge while it is being built. Read that as a real warning rather than a formality:
- features may change or be removed without notice
- data loss is possible, and there is no compensation for it
- there is no uptime commitment and no support commitment
- the service may be discontinued
Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose. The tracker is open source and its data model is documented, so exporting is possible, but do not treat Track Slash as the only home for critical records.
By using it you accept that you are using preview software on those terms.
Your account
You need an account to use Track Slash. You agree to give an accurate email address, to keep your credentials to yourself, and to tell us promptly at help@badbundle.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
You are responsible for what happens under your account.
There is no email channel, so there is no account recovery. If you lose both your password and your passkeys, your account and its contents are unreachable, permanently. We are under no obligation to restore access and in most cases will have no technical means of doing so. Keep a passkey backed up, or keep more than one.
You can delete your account at any time from within the app.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you put into Track Slash — your projects, issues, comments, and uploads. We claim no rights over it.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, display it back to you and to people you share a project with, and to include it in backups.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, and for what you choose to put in. Do not put other people's personal data into an issue unless you are entitled to.
Acceptable use
Do not use Track Slash to break the law, to store or distribute unlawful material, to attack or overload the service, to get into other people's data, or to resell access.
Anything covered by the Computer Misuse Act 1990 is out of bounds.
We may suspend or delete an account that breaches this, at our sole discretion, without notice, without explanation, and without an opportunity to export your data first.
Availability
The service is provided as-is and as-available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
It runs on modest infrastructure operated directly by us. It may be slow, and it may be down.
No support obligation
Track Slash comes with no support of any kind.
We are not obliged to answer questions, investigate problems, fix bugs, restore data, recover accounts, or maintain the service. Anything of that sort that does happen is a favour, not a duty, and doing it once creates no expectation of doing it again.
The tracker is open source. If you need a change, the code is there to read and to fork.
The only exception is data protection: requests about your own personal data are answered within the time limit the law sets, because that is a statutory duty rather than a support commitment. See the Privacy Policy.
Ending it
You may stop using Track Slash and delete your account whenever you like.
We may stop providing the service, in whole or in part, at any time, without notice and without liability. No notice period is promised, whether the service is discontinued deliberately or stops for reasons outside our control.
This is why the preview warning above matters: keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose, rather than relying on being told in advance.
Liability
Track Slash is free. We take no payment for it, and we accept no financial liability for it.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all liability for any loss or damage arising from your use of the service or your inability to use it. That includes lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill, wasted expenditure, and lost or corrupted data, and it applies whether a claim is brought in contract, in tort, for negligence, or on any other basis.
A small number of things cannot lawfully be excluded by anyone, and we do not attempt to exclude them: liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and any other liability that the law does not permit to be limited. If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything in these terms.
If you are using Track Slash for a business, you accept this allocation of risk as the basis on which the service is provided to you at no charge.
Your rights under data protection law sit outside this section. They are statutory, they are not affected by these terms, and they are described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms at any time. The current version is on this page with its date at the top, and checking it is your responsibility. No notice is given by any other means.
Where a change materially affects your rights, acceptance of the updated terms may be requested at sign-in and recorded. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it.
Governing law
These terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the service, are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
Not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it.
You may not transfer your account or your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours, for example if the business is sold.
These terms are the whole agreement between you and Bad Bundle Limited about Track Slash.
